Christmas, Twenty-eleven

 

The top TWENTY Great things that happened to us this year.

1. We are all healthy!

2. Kray went away to BYU-Hawaii.

3. Jason has a great paying job washing cars at Toyota of Kirkland.

4.  Mike turned 16.

5. Matt earned his Eagle!

6.Chris received the Priesthood.

7. Jessie ran a race with Doreen.

8. Doreen coached five soccer teams this year (Matt, Chris and Jessie during the spring and Chris & Jessie  in fall).

9. Steve released Coach's Clock which helped Doreen manage player's time and earned the family a few bucks.

10.  We attended two family reunions this year.

11. Doreen raised a lot of money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through TNT.

12. Roxy joined the family.

13.  Kids are pulling down great grades in school. Kray at university, Jason at college and Mike, Matt, Chris & Jessie at Heleman's Academy

14. Doreen ran two marathons, Vancouver and Seattle.

15. Doreen is 16 months remission!

16. We went to Disney World for Spring Break and had a BLAST!

17. Doreen spoke at two Team in Training events.

18. Doreen is still working her personal consultantship with Heritage Makers and loves the joy she bring to her family and others through storybooks.

19. Alex loves Roxy.

20. Everyone celebrated a birthday! Steve: getting older, Doreen: 42 never felt so young, Kray: 20, Jason: 18, Mike: 16, Matt: 14, Chris: 12 and Jessie: 11.

 

The  ELEVEN Not-So-Great things that happened to us this year.

1. It rained buckets while we were at Disney World.
             Which made the line very short!.

2. Doreen has missed seeing her doctors on a weekly basis.
            Not really.

3. Doreen had to pay for expensive shoes while training for her marathons.
            Well worth the price.

4. Kray left home for the first time to attend BYU-Hawaii.
            So glad he is moving on with his life.

5. Doreen has to once again pay for hair cuts and colors.
            Hair does grow back.

6. Paying the grocery bill to feed FIVE growing boys>
            At least they are healthy.

7. Kray, Jason and Chris not meeting Sounders FC's Fredy Montero at a soccer event.
            But the rest of us did.

8. Doreen didn't get to take Kray to Hawaii.
            But Steve did. Doreen can't wait for graduation.

9. Steve only added one iPod, iPad, iPhone, iTouch game to his inventory.
            Because he is working on an original game.

10. Steve still has to drive to Seattle for work.
            And we are so thankful that he has a very good job.

11. Paying for college tuitions.
            It is expensive but well worth it.

Well, I guess we cheated just a bit and those not-so-great things are really good things after all!
