Spring Soccer

It must be that time of year. Dinners are sandwiches and freezer dinners because Doreen is out on the pitch playing with the kids again. SOCCER! Oh, how the family loves soccer.

Chris and Matt are playing on a team together once again and having a blast. They are the main strikers on the team. Matt is the smallest, yet the oldest on the team; it is a very young team. They hold their own and do a fine job.

Jessie is playing on her team as one of the older girls and it shows. She has a wicked cross and spends most of her time as a midfield player. Unlike Chris and Matt, she doesn't have asthma so her playing time isn't limited.

Doreen decided to get on the field herself this year and ref'ed her first game! Not bad. Of course she is only doing the U10, but she loves it and it is fun. She did enjoy the few dollars it put in her pocket.

Date Night!

For a very fun date (see March's edition) Doreen took Steve to Paris! They had a bunch of French food: French dip, salad with "French" dressing (Doreen hates French dressing so you just say Poppy Seed Dressing with a French accent and it works.) and they made French Vanilla Ice Cream.

To top it off they went for a walk along Lake Washington (pronounced " La Seine River") and then stopped in a little store front and painted these masterpieces!

PROM

Being homeschooled doesn't stop the teens from going to formal dances. Mike and Jason went to the Laurel/Priest Prom that is held in Issaquah each spring. They looked very dashing with their dates.

Being the parent of the male, I have to rely on the other parent to send pictures.

Easter Egg Hunt

LYTTS did it again! A successful Easter Egg Hunt but lame mom only got pictures of other kids and the eggs.
